the abstract core within the divination ritual of the datura partaking involving the two lizards entailed sewing up the mouth of one so that it would speak in the visionary state. the other had eyes sewn shut so that it could show what was being spoken, the two worked as one. one was said by juan matus to be useless without the other and the core was revealed here, yet it was never revealed by castenada publically. he was lost to himself in this i believe.

I found myself dreaming with Carlos last night. It was his dream. He was showing me his facility as an artist. His torso was naked and covered with tattoos...all of which encapsulated the mood of the art of interaction between forces that revolve around each other. There was a cubism component that rendered this mood in the art....angles and interplays rendered in shades of black intended to illustrate point and counterpoint in all their varied representations: chiaroscuro....contrast....

as a result of losing continuity, i feel like i have returned to a place that has lost its life and familiarity, it was there and now it is gone and it wasnt like this before. i feel like im dreaming and i cant find my house, its some strange region, where shortly before i had known it and the people of it. now they are like aliens, it feels like i woke up in someone elses life. the people who were familair to me are not, they wouldnt say the things they do, they looked different too....
