Astrology and Shadow attention

Hi All, Yesterday the 15th was the new moon. I noticed a definite increase in shadow attention. I've observed a few co-workers have intense head-aches, etc. I've spoken with a friend on the path and they also thought the day had many wrenches thrown into it. Perhaps this query is simplistic, but has anyone noticed any astrological correlations with shadow attention? Perhaps it may be due to how people are affected emotionally in certain astrological configurations, thoughts?

I'm trying to remember this reference correctly; in one of Castaneda's books, Don Juan was describing something that occurred to the sorcerers of antiquity, which was their luminous egg was 'transformed' or 'stretched' into a different shape because they pushed their assemblage point to far flung universes. He also mentioned that they had gone so far that the shape was irreversible. The resulting shape was that of a candle or a bell.
